Gadde's Background:

I can't imagine a job I'd enjoy more than teaching. I've done a lot of things, but this is what I always come back to.

Teaching Responsibilities: now in my 21st year at Miramonte, I'll be teaching Living Earth and AP Biology
Other Roles: over the years, I've served as Science Department Chair, Olympic Park trip organizer, member of Guiding Coalition, Teacher Induction Mentor, South Asian Culture Club advisor, and lots of other stuff that I'm probably forgetting

grew up in yuppie suburbs outside of Buffalo, NY, did schooling, community work, and research at a bunch of places (Yale in New Haven , AMNH in NY, Woods Hole MA , Cal ), then settled in Oakland and then Martinez
teaching career began with the Prison University Project at San Quentin State Prison
husband to a community organizer, dad to two caring kids, son of immigrants, grandson of farmers and a fierce, non-violent freedom-fighter
hobbies used to be live music and endurance cycling, but now I cook giant vats of food, hike through beautiful lands, and read about people different than me.

School is something, but it is NOT the only thing.
